Hello Mike and all! interesting to read of the great success of the Cape Honey Bee in European Countries. Nevertheless I do not understand the trouble about that fact, because breeding Capensis for more than 20 years at european institutes with free-flying cape colonies did not cause any negative effects on the bee population in the surroundings. I believe that A. m. capensis will play an important part in beekeeping of the future. Yours sincerely Kai-M. Engfer, Tel. 04347-8861 Ostlandstr. 1 D-24247 Mielkendorf
