Janaki (and everyone else),

As someone with lg. breasts, I can attest to the fact that it is
difficult to use the standard size flanges with the breast pump.
However, it can be done. First, get flanges wet (better starting
suction). Second, have mom support her breast/hold flange on (I know, it
makes dbl pumping difficult) while she pumps. She might have to stop and
readjust breast every now and then. As long as her nipple and some of
the areola are in the pump it can be done. I found that a manual pump
worked best because one has to hold the flange on.

Also, in response to sore perineum, either calendula or
hypericum/calendula cream applied to tucks pads and placed on the
perineum help immensly.
