Dianne and all,

Re: your question whether lowered IQ acquired through formula feeding would be
passed down from generation to generation through heredity, the answer is no.
There is no heredity of acquired characteristics. Only characteristics that
are genetically determined are inherited. Formula feeding will not affect that
part of intelligence that is determined by genes. An analogy: If one of your
fingers is amputated, would you expect your children to have only nine
fingers? No, your offspring do not inherit a chacteristic that you acquire.
