I have fortunately have landed in a community where the LLL is
marvelous,and I believe, well respected. I agree with you that "magic
initials"  do not always carry the punch they should. I still remember
the lecture in midwifery school 10 years ago by an IBCLC that WOWED me
about how much I didn't know about BF and gave me the burning desire to
become one of the "elite"(as far as I was concerned). I have always
presumed that all HCPs felt the same way. It is becoming more apparent
that is not so. It is indeed a long road to walk.
