Pat, thanks for the input re: yeast in baking/yeast overgrowth in us
humans!
In my community it is tradition to bake a yeast bread for the Sabbath
(known as "challah"). We also see a lot of yeast infections.
Pat, do you think mothers could lessen their exposure if they made a big
batch of dough and then froze portions, so that they wouldn't have to
work with the dough that frequently? A lot of women use heavy duty bread
mixers, some use bread makers, and some still knead by hand. It's a very
lovely practice. Too bad our immune systems are now so messed up that
yeast can overgrow instead of staying where it does the most good!
