I didn't pay much attention to the original post, but then saw Helen's
reply. I don't know where the woman in question lives, but I here in NJ,
buildings are often shut down when asbestos removal is taking place, and
only certified, licensed, etc. people can remove the asbestos.  No one
should be working in an area, other than those contractors, during
abestos is being removed. What about the diners??  It would seem this a
violation in the US of OSHA rules.
