Have there been any research studies done that would prove that drinking a lot of cows' milk during pregnancy could sensitize a baby so that it would respond negatively to its first exposure to cows' milk after birth? I'm not wording that very clearly. I was discussing with my Food and Nutrition class that it really might not be such a hot idea to drink lots of cows' milk when you are pregnant, as it can sensitize the baby -- one of the students mentioned it in her other nutrition class and the teacher said that was a bunch of baloney. So now I am on the defensive to provide studies. This all began as a result of a discussion of a new "milk moustache" ad featuring supermodel Elle McPherson, with her moustache and big pregnant belly saying she's drinking a lot of milk so her baby will have strong bones. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Katherine A.
