And yes, in theory, ROPA is supposed to BE a register of professional archaeologist (in fact it may be what Mike Rodeffer heard about), BUT there has been much discussion about the potential sucsses of ROPA (I mean beyond SOPA). As Mike Polk could tell you, there has been much discussion regarding ROPA/SOPA/qualifications on the ACRA-L, a list for those involved in CRM.
