<Does anyone give out SIN-free gifts? Why have I not seen a nice breastfeeding-oriented-company gift pack?> We are doing something exciting with regard to BF Moms! The local county BF taskforce applied for and received a state grant to make up gift packs for WIC (Women, Infant's and Children) BF Moms. The amount is $6000.00, some of which will be used for administrative costs. The local peer counselor group has tote bags they sell as fundraisers~the artwork on the bags is a lovely drawing of a nursing Mom and babe. They are selling the bags to the taskforce at cost. We are in the process of deciding what willl go in the bags, and also how to fund the bags for non-WIC Moms. (We will approach the hospital auxiliary, materials management, and local guilds/service groups) Ideas for inside include nice nursing pads, literature about BF, coupons for discounts on nursing bras/-wear.
