The current thread about the Nestle boycott made me think back to past Hallowe'ens when our 4 boys used to come home with their pillow cases full of candy. My husband and I would sort through it with them and of course try to convince them to forfeit the Nestle products. I don't now how much candy we got back from them, but it may have left them with the basics of boycotting and principles, and speaking out against things if they feel it isn't right. Today, my 23 yr old son spoke up in his 4th yr. psychology course, related to psychology for the disabled when the prof, a female, singled him out because he is the only male in a class of 16 and asked him how one is to prepare a bottle of formula. She was breaking the task down into 12 steps so that life skills assistants could aid disabled parents. My son said he know nothing about how to prepare a bottle of formula and that the disabled parents should be assisted to breastfeed. "What do you know about breastfeeding? she asked him." My son said he was an "expert" and it took only 1 step! ( I 'm proud and also hopes he passes her course!) Kathy.
