Thanks to everyone for all their good wishes. I missed taking the exam with all my buddies at Rush (hi all!), but thoroughly enjoyed taking it in Syracuse, NY, which, if any of you ever get a chance to visit, please do so. It is a beautiful little city, and the area in which we took it (Crouse Hospital) was part of Syracuse University which has beautiful old buildings. The drive from Syracuse to Montrose, PA was gorgeous!. My sister went with me, and after I finished the exam, we went to Carousel Mall which, well, frankly, we both said it's a good thing that mall isn't in Wheaton, IL or Brookhaven, MS, because we'd probably spend more time malling than we should. We had a great time eating Indian food; Middle Eastern food (had lunch with Lactnetter Anne Andrianos), and topped it off with Italian for dinner Monday night. Anne -- so wonderful to meet you -- and it's also nice to know that the exam is over, and I don't have to think about it for another 10 years -- or maybe ever.... if those of us on the experimental track last year, this year & next year do well, who knows? We may save everyone else from ever having to take the exam a second time..... But I'll admit, it was a LOT easier taking the exam in 1997 than it was in 1987....10 years of experience and CEUs make a difference! Hope everyone else has recovered, and you are going to have a wonderful rest-of-the-summer (and for the Aussies -- rest-of-the-winter!) Jan Barger -- of Wheaton, IL or Montrose, PA, as the case may be.
