Hello - it's been hard for me to keep up with the mail lately, so I hope this one hasn't been asked already. I've been told by a couple of clients that there are now available bovine-based colostrum pills which various folks are taking as an immune booster. A nurse friend of mine told me yesterday that her sister was taking the colostrum during pregnancy to prevent her from illness. I'm just curious - how does one's immune system become stronger if the colostrum is from a cow? Is this a joke? Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
