Fiona and others: I have an article coming out on how to treat breast yeast OTC (when no one will prescribe fluconozole or ketoconozole). It will appear in issue #42 of Midwifery Today. Please look for it or let me know if you can't find it and I will email the care-plan to you. Our biggest problem around here is that most of the doctors don't consider ductal yeast even a possibility. Any inflamation of the breast or breast pain is automatically treated by antibiotics as though it could only be bacterial. Guess, where that gets us? Usually, to a more intensified case of breast yeast. Last year we had 82 inches of rain, lots of antibiotics given, and many chronic breast yeast cases in Oregon. I did lots of professional educating and did manage to convince a few of the docs that this was a real problem and not just mom's "whining," as the put it. It is truly amazing when women do get relief how grateful they are that someone took them seriously. : )Chris Hafner-Eaton, PhD, MPH, CHES, IBCLC email: [log in to unmask] : ) : )HSR & Health Educational Consultant voice/fax: 541 753 7340 : ) : )LLLLLLLLLLLLL**CHANGE THE WORLD, NURTURE A CHILD!**LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL : )
