Need some collective wisdom here.

A few pediatricians here in Arizona, myself included, are considering
sponsoring a resolution to the Arizona Chapter of the Academy of Pediatrics.
The resolution would ask the AAP to change the word "formula" in all its
publications and communications. To quote Dr. Marshall from the U of A (Go
Wildcats!) "formula is a vaguely scientific, reassuring term from an era when
the concotion was made at home according to a recipe", "because formulas have
supplanted breastfeeding as the primary source of infant nutrition despite
pediatric recommendations, perhaps a change in terminology is indicated." OK
lactnetters what should the new term be? As a LC I'm used to ABM but then
again ABM might be confused with the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (or
should we make them change their name?!) Other suggestions have been
"artificial milk" or "artificial human milk" Any others? I'll be taking this
to the AAP Breastfeeding Coordinator Conference in Chicago this weekend. Your
ideas are appreciated.
