I have heard percentages thrown about for years and I can always turn it around to my advantage. If the baby is getting 80% of its milk and you stop at that point that is the same as giving a baby only 4 0z of a 5 oz bottle and throwing away the rest WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR BABY NEEDS 5 OUNCES TO DEVELOP OPTIMALLY. I have never seen a mother do that with a bottle - they really like to see those last drops disappear! Even an adult who is taking 1200 calories a day and maintaining weight would lose weight if cut back to 960 calories per day-80%. I can imagine cutting out 200+ calories a day could make you a stressed and grouchy person. Especially if you were developing (and expending energy) at the pace your babies are! Babies need to get 100% of their nutritional needs met. Hear this all the time in Fl - Moms in Orlando have too many places to go and things to see to be sitting around all day nursing!
