Hi all!
Today was a fairly warm day(60 deg F) and the bees were taking
in large amounts of ground corn that I put out to feed to my cattle.
1) Is this a suitable pollen substitute nutritionally for brood
rearing?
2) Should I begin feeding a soy based pollen substitute to keep them
out of the corn?
This is my first spring with bees and I would like to make some 3
frame splits from the strongest colonies.
I would like to build them up as much as possible.
I live in northern Kentucky, USA with 8 hives.

Thanks,

Dewey
