Re: the comment about sodas and caffeine:

Not all carbonated beverages have caffeine.  I think the mother in the post
was drinking sparkling water.  I wonder, though, if she was drinking one that
was sweetened with corn syrup?  She systematically removed suspect foods from
her diet but may not have realized that the corn syrup could be the culprit.
 Also, I wonder how long she removed suspect foods from her diet before
adding back again.  My understanding is that one really needs to give it a
good two weeks.

I'm anxiously waiting for someone to explain how carbonation causes gas in a
baby through the breastmilk.
