Over the last few weeks, I seen a disturbing trend. dr's and midwives are
telling mom's that they can't breastfeed for 24-72 hours after the birth
because mom is positive for beta-strep. (the problems in delaying *first
contact* are obvious)
Does anyone know where this stuff is coming from? Is there some new study
about beta-strep being passed on through breastmilk? I thought breastmilk
protected against beta-strep.
Seems like another line on why you shouldn't breastfeed.
