Eight or ten years ago I got a single sting on one ankle.  I was on
crutches for three days.  Another time when was robbing a hive and had
left my brain home I got approximately 20 stings on each ankle.  One
swelled up, and I couldn't walk for three days.  The other ankle had no
reaction.  I still keep bees and do not have any other sort of reaction
to stings.
