I agree that it may be a mistake to look at such things as IQ when assessing
*who* a person is and what her capabilites might be, and then further to use
such information to pressure the child in any direction.

However, I think that it is valid to mention such advantages as Taurine and
other amino and fatty acids which are known to promote brain growth and
development. When contrasting the amazing components of human milk with the
milk of an animal whose sole brilliance is exhibited in chewing cud or with a
plant who has no claim to any sort of brilliance, I think such statements
connote a bigger picture that is much more attractive to parents!
