I don't know, because I have never had a problem with this since my beginner days when I moved a hive a few feet during a flow and was worried about the confusion that resulted. Now I assume that they would have eventually sorted it out, found the hive and gone in. The bees have gotten much smarter as I have gained experience <g>. Regards Allen W.
