I recently purchased Baggie feeders . They work very well and best of all no robbing, no jars, and no drowned bees. A baggie feeder is a super approximately 2 deep placed on the hive under the inner cover. 1 gallon baggies are filled with 3 qts syrup and then placed directly over the cluster. 2 two inch slits are then made in the baggiesand a small amount is squeezed out onto the cluster so that they know it is there. A strong colony will empty them in short order. I haven t tried it but I think an empty 5 3/4 super would work just as well. Frank Humphrey
