Hello, my name is Merilee Reeder and I have been hanging out here for several months. I am the mother of six children, ages 22 to 10 and had a great breastfeeding experience with them all. I have been a member of NMC of Santa Clara CA for 21 years and have recently attended the CLE course at UCLA. I hope to finish my RN in the next couple of years (I had to take a break because we recently moved. Out of state tuition! Wow!) and get my family raised a little more and move into a career in Perinatal Services. ( Will I be too old?) The comment that I would like to make is about conferences and babies. (I know ancient history but no one talked about this.) To the conference planners: Is it terribly expensive to arrange for a close circuit TV in another room or the hall? I think that the parent would be more likely to take a disruptive child out if they knew that they would not miss the presentation as well. I have attended many large conferences (church) where this was done and it really worked well. The babies were much happier as they could move around and make some noise, the parent was happy that they were not missing the presentation, the participants and speaker were not being disturbed. I hope this is a thought that may work in some places. I have really learned alot from all of you. Thank you for a great place to hang out. Merilee PS. I just finished Dancing Skeletons. What a great book!!. Thank you Kathrine.
