Margery, Could not resist this after reading your post on businesses with nursing mom's lounges. At Sesame Place, a popular toddler attraction in PA, USA, the nursing area is a plastic chair in a tiny alcove of the ladies' room which is curtained off with a plastic shower curtain. This alcove is right next to the trash can for the entire rest room, which is needless to say, full of throw away diapers. Yuck! To add insult to injury, the symbol on the map for the nursing area is (can you guess?) a bottle! My friend (an RN) and I marched her lactating sister to the first aid station, and requested the use of a more sanitary environment. Friend and I educated the staff about the health issues involved in eating in a bathroom when one is an immunologically immature infant while sis nursed there. Have not been back to see if this had any results. Catherine Watson Genna, IBCLC NYC [log in to unmask] Catherine Watson Genna, IBCLC NYC [log in to unmask]
