I was crawling the web using a new search engine called Alta Vista, asking for "breastfeeding" sites and came across an interesting one that seems to be sponsored by Mead Johnson. Would appreciate others looking it over and commenting -- they do have some great graphics of breasts (!) including breast massage (before pumping, for the working mother) and different types of pumps are clearly shown, as well as different types of nipples. Lots of info on pumping and storing and reheating EBM. If you follow the links on weaning, though, you'll see the usual stuff about replacing a breastfeeding with a bottle of formula (think my 4.5 year old needs a bottle of formula at bedtime??) and weaning prior to six months (onto a bottle) vs. after six months (onto a cup). Lots of promotion of Enfamil and Prosobee products, and trashing of Similac. Anyway, for those of you who counsel working mothers, this *might* be a good resource for the info on breast massage and pumping. It'll probably get rated "indecent" by the net censors. The address is: http://www.womenslink.com/g/wlink/_b5bebf6d/living/momlib/working4.html Or go to Alta Vista, search on breastfeeding, and look among the first few sites listed (I was AMAZED to find my own home page listed in the first five). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Katherine A.
