I saw the same story on RSV on our news station here in Chicago.  I was
upset that they didn't even mention BF as a help in preventing RSV in these
infants.  In Ruth Lawrence's book, 4th edition on page 171, she states,
"Specimens of human colostrum have been found to contain neutralizing
activity against RSV."  Dr. Lawrence also shares some data collected by
Downham et al which showed that few breastfed babies (8 of 115) were among
the infants hospitalized for RSV infection, compared with uninfected
controls who were breastfed (46 of 167).
