Linda and all Doesn't just get to you when a Dr. makes a statement that just isn't "supported' by his medicial training!! He obviously doesn't remember dissecting a breast in anatomy lab - or maybe he had a male cadaver and didn't look at a female OR maybe his school didn't bother with female anatomy in lab! Anyway, don't mean to gross anyone out but how could he liken a breast sagging to a muscle after disuse atrophy! I far as I know the muscles in breasts are in the nipple, areola and the specialized cells - myoepitheial around the aveoli. The sag in breasts are due to stretching of connective tissue which becomes less elastic as we age and doesn't bounce back like it used to when we are younger. Of course, elasticity of tissue varies from person to person as other personal attributes and is influenced by hormones as well. Statements like his that show faulty reasoning are what make us so wary as consumers of medicine and why we need to ask 'why." Mardrey
