Laurie,
I like Lansinoh on open wounds of the breast.  Sometimes babies clamp down in
their sleep when they feel like they are losing their grasp on the breast.  If
this is the case, it might help to pull your little one in closer as she falls
asleep.  My favorite way to break suction is to press my thumb between the
babies jaws through the cheek right behind the corner of the lip.  You do not
actually put your thumb in the mouth this way, so it is sanitary, and it is
much faster than trying to worm a pinkie into a clenched mouth.  If I have not
made myself clear, I will be happy to elaborate.
