Hi friends, I may have posted this before, ages ago, but we've grown since then and it may (or may not) bear repeating. It is to go in the "Rubber Udder Award" category. Letter in the AAP News two or three years ago. Pediatrician writes in and states that no woman should bf until she has been tested for HIV even if she isn't at "risk" as we know it. Why? Because since she became pregnant, she has had unprotected sex, therefore is at risk for HIV, therefore the baby is at dreadful risk for contracting the virus through the bm. I wonder if she got pregnant while having "safe" sex, if she would then not be at risk. Sigh, Jan B. ([log in to unmask])
