>Okay, Linda R., here's mine: when teaching manual expression of breast milk,
>I have the mother make a loose fist to simulate her breast, then I 'express
>milk' from her fist, pressing back, then rolling the fingers and thumb toward
>each other and the 'areola', pointing out that my fingers are not rubbing over
>the skin, but rather pushing the skin forward. Since the skin on the hand is
>loose like the skin of the breast, this works well. Using their hand gives
>them kinesthetic as well as visual stimuli, and no one is embarrassed. They
>then try it on their real breast.

Fascinating idea! Which part of the fist is the areola. I've just spent
five minutes trying to 'express' my fist and I haven't found the areola yet!
