I think the article to which you are referring is a rather poor study of
cabbage for engorgement done in S. Africa and published in Birth.  Conclusion
was that it didn't help any more than whatever else it was they used (cold
lettuce, maybe?? -- no, it wasn't, but I don't remember what it was).
 However, they only used it for 20 minutes every 4 hours or whatever - in any
case, it nowhere near followed the protocol suggested by Rosier in the BF
Review article in '88.  But, it was in birth, and I think it was 1993 or
1994.  The newest one is in JHL on cabbage & Gelpacks.
