Just an add-on to Roberta's recent comment about well-washed hands in Yucatan by doctors checking for palatal clefts, etc. When I was working in a hopsital, I observed many pediatircians giving babies their first "public" (in front of the parents) physical and these MDs did NOT use a glove when putting their finger in baby's mouth to quiet crying while ostensibly checking for clefts. (teaching hospital) Guess this goes to show that many of us need the reminders that have been coming up on LACTNET. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %% "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities %% %% brilliantly disguised as impossible situations." %% %% definition of a lactation consulting service. %% %% Kathleen G.
