Labelling... *Bolivian poster showing a large white baby sucking a bottle advertising S26 in a La Paz hospital *South African chalkboard on the wall of a clinic promoting SMA, S26 and Infasoy *labels in Pakistan, Uganda and Ghana in English only and carry a photograph of a mother and baby, and the text suggests equivalence to bmilk "SMA Gold has been expecially formulated to be as nutritionally close as possible to b'milk and provide a gentle introduction to bottle feeding from birth onwards." *Labels in Zimbabwe and Malawi are not in the local language *Gabon labels claim SMA is "maternalised" and has a baby picture and incomplete info *Mauritius & Philippines labels found in English only Direct Promotion to the Public... *SMA is advertised on the radio in Western Samoa *promotional literature to shops in Pakistan and Sth Africa *promotions in shops in Philippines, Canada, Australia and UK *discount sales in Thailand and France *posters in Columbian shops... * a magazine ad in th Philipines with a girl playing chess under the slogan "Some minds are fed earlier than most" !!!!!!! ie use Promil if you want a gifted child!!! Promotion in Health Care Facilities... *gifts to parents in Chile, Columbia, Nicaragua, Pakistan, the Philipines, Thailand inc congrats cards to parents in Columbia *In the Philipines a baby book encourages supplementary feeding after 3mo... Promotion to Health workers... *Gifts to health care facilities in Chile, Indonesia and Thailand if they order large amts of breastmilk substitutes... Free supplies Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cote de Ivoire, Egypt, El Salvador, Gabon, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Pakistan, Singapore, Sth Africa, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda, USA, and Venezuala. In Nicaragua reps are shown a video on how to undermine the BFHI and the withdrawal of free supplies. I can't type any more.
