Did an article on this--references indicate that milk production often drops
significantly at around three months when placenta takes over hormone
production. A baby still largely dependent on breastmilk may need to be
watched more closely and increasingly receive food from other sources BUT why
would anyone make such a huge leap as to recommending total weaning? If this
baby's on a variety of solids, perhaps no change in diet is necessary. (Where
do these guys come up with this stuff!?)
