Hi, Judy-- I agree with your assessment of overriding anxiety. Sounds to me like she has multiple let-downs, with the usual calm in between, and is mis-interpreting what is going on. My mom exhibits multiple let-downs during her feeds, and when I began to observe this, I reckoned to myself that since this one breast is working "double-time", she would need to have MER's more closely spaced than your average, bilateral nursing mother. The "fall asleep" quite likely is just that the milk flow subsides; how much do you want to bet that she was expecting a constant rate of flow during a nursing session, rather than the ebb and flow that is more characteristic? -Lisa ****************************************************************************** Lisa A.
