I worked with a mother recently who had a severe drop in milk supply after having an injectable birth control medication administered. The makers of the medication INSISTED that there was no relationship, but there was no other explanation for a 50% cut in milk volume. If this baby is not stooling more often than every 10 days, I would get that kid in for a weight check asap. The mother may strongly consider an alternate form of birth control...Anyone else have any specific info on oral contraceptives and milk supply?
