A study session at conference sounds like a good idea, but I personally do not feel it does certifiation candidates any good. They need to go to the conference to meet and greet (old and new) friends, learn what the conference can offer them and RELAX!!! The last probably will help them more than trying to cram some more information into an overtaxed brain. (If you want to see what conference overload is like, just check out the facial expressions of ILCA Board members by Sunday noon!) :-) I, too would like a reference to bingeing and purging during breastfeeding. My experience with women with an eating disorder is that they must be pretty stable and out of the anorexic pattern before they can become pregnant. By that time, they usually (but not always) remain psychologically and physically stable, but if a resumption of eating disorder is manifested after the baby's birth, I would view that as dangerous to both mother and baby. More information on this would be greatly appreciated. My current collection of articles includes only one that relates to anorexia during pregnancy and subsequent breastfeeding (uneventful and adequate). Does any one else have any others? For the new people on LACTNET, I am offering an opportunity to meet at the ILCA Conference for all such individuals. To date, I know of 4 of us who will be there. If any of you new people are planning to attend, please let me knokw and I will put you on the list I am keeping so that information pertaining to said meeting can be transmitted to you as the Conference gets closer. (Or you can do so to me alone ([log in to unmask]). I believe that is it from me for now... Lactationally yours :-) %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %% Kathleen G.
