Hi It is winter here in Australia and a colleague of mine has a hive which has swarmed a number of times over the past twelve months. He has attempted to re-queen the hive in spring (October 1993) but unfortunately it was not successful. Last week the hive swarmed again which is most unusual given the time of year and the cold frosty conditions we have in Canberra at this time of year. According to him the hive appears to be health, disease free and well sited on a north east aspect. Does anyone have an suggestions. Brian Burbidge (email : [log in to unmask])
