You also see thousands of acres of monoculture corn and soy, and huge
animal feedlots.  None of these are "sensible," but those growers and
ranchers are still keeping their crops and animals alive.  Same with the
large commercial beekeepers--it is not generally them who are experiencing
the high loss rates, and if they do, they generally know why.

I've heard that there are areas called "cities" in which millions of human
beings live under similar conditions.
