:Do the bees recycle some of the moisture as they need to dilute the honey?

Which is why I use a homasote board. If I go out in mid winter the board is
wet right over the inner cover hole. Check the underside in spring and you
will see where the bees chewed on the board to get the moisture. In essence
the board both absorbs the moisture and acts as a water reservoir for the
bees all winter long.Best of all possible worlds.
