Not exactly research but more anecdotal from my exclusive expressing
community and fellow surrogates who donate to milk banks. I was always
advised both by my Ibclc and the community to pump to empty (1 drop every 5
seconds) plus 5 mins rather than a specific amount of pumping time.

I'm looking for research related to the amount of time mothers "should"
pump. I notice that when the triple feed is prescribed, the amount of time
mothers are asked to pump varies, usually anywhere from 10-20 minutes in
addition to breastfeeding.

I'm at a bit of a loss about what to enter into the search. pumping
recommendations? pumping research? feeling pretty brain dead; thanks for
your resuscitation assistance.
