I have searched the archives and come up with nothing about this subject, so I am posting this to the best group of breastfeeding experts I know. A colleague of mine has been challenged by a powerful pediatrician at her institution re: any benefits related to skin-to-skin for a healthy full term baby after the first 2 hours of life.
I have found reams of research published on preemies, SGA and fragile babies, but I have not been successful in locating any studies that have focused on healthy full term babies after "the Golden Hour". I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Thank you all in advance,
