the self-proclaimed state beekeeping organization is what prompted those of
us who keep bees in "downstate" NY to lobby the executive branch to pull
funding for the whole shebang. Foulbrood and other diseases and pests have
not increased one little bit since the funding was pulled, so there is now a
rational basis to say that the money was being wasted for years.

Hi James,

Where did you get your information about diseases and problems with
beekeeping
before the inspection was stopped??

Where do you get your information now?

Someone with knowledge of what American Foul Brood really looks like and
smells
needs to make the call of cases now as well as before inspections were
stopped.

There probably will not be any increase for a few years until some has a bad
run.

Some beekeepers are not as well educated about diseases, pests and viruses
as needed.

A terrible outbreak could be very bad. Time will only tell.
