The very term "Free Market" is in itself an abstraction of market forces that does not exist. There are no "free markets", even at very low levels, the supply-demand interaction is virtually never without external frictions that distort the equilibrium. People who extoll the "free market" as the virtuous solution to anything, out themselves immediately as ideologs, when I see or hear it, more often than not, it quickly becomes obvious that what is being preached is religion, not a rational exchange of intellectual ideas. Of course, when I hear people preaching the virtues of child labor the "truth" has clearly reached the "snake handling" speaking in tongues level, and further conversation will either devolve to name calling or extended volleys of "conformational bais" derived references thrown back and forth.
