Dear all,

Next year I might be able to conduct a field experiment with bumblebees. One of the key issues is analysis of pollen collected by bumblebees. A (not very thorough) literature search indicates that for similar research people never use pollen traps but manually remove pollen from immobilised workers. Which is tedious and pretty much impossible when one has to look at 30+ colonies.

Does anyone know about existing or experimental bumblebee pollen traps? Did anyone on here ever design or use them?

Best Wishes,

Lennard
