Since the field research is being done under FDA oversight, as well as being observed by independent beekeepers such as myself and former presidents of the national associations, we will likely notice if there are noticeable negative effects in the colonies. One could well have the same fear about researchers developing each new generation of vaccines against influenza, polio, and measles.
