Is > this not the case? Well, I must apologise. Those PF100s were indeed waxed. This morning, I came across one that was not yet placed in a hive and examined it more closely. It does have a wax coating. So, I guess that evens things out. I had not considered the question of waxing to be particularly important back when I originally reported and frankly had not noticed the wax as it is uneven and only on the embossed surfaces. I did recall that the Pierco were wax dipped as there was wax on the top bars and a strong smell of wax. Moreover Nick told me that he was dipping them in Canadian wax specially for the Canadian order. In contrast, I think the PF100s were sprayed and the wax was less obvious.
