We have far to go. Baby steps... http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2013/03/08/breast_feeding_at_the_white_house_rachel_hartman_s_story_shows_need_for.html I spoke with a co-worker this week planning to go to the Day at the Capital in Madison, WI. She called ahead to find out where she would be able to pump. It took a few calls to get her answer which was disappointing. There is no public place to pump except for public restrooms. I suggested she make a point of asking several times while she was there in hopes of affecting change in the future. I plan to find out later this week what ended up happening. If you are allowed to breastfeed anywhere you are allowed to be, what would happen if you were to pump anywhere you are allowed to be? Indecent exposure, I would imagine.
