Hello!
I have a friend, who has a 4 month old grandchild with eczema. The mother has cut out dairy, which didn't seem to help. They have doctored and used several kinds of typically prescribed ointments. Now the mother has gone back to work, and her supply is decreasing since she doesn't pump frequently enough, and the baby is getting some formula--so mom being dairy free isn't very helpful.

I suggested to grandam that they try double rinsing all the baby's clothing and bedding--possibly go to a different fragrance free detergent than they are using, try to get mom's milk supply back up so they can avoid formula, and consider trying to go gluten free for a week or two to see if that makes any difference.

Do any of you have personal experience or suggestion? There's nothing like a mother who has a child with a health problem--they will search for answers unendingly--especially if they are a lactation consultant!

I appreciate your input!
