Dear Lactnet Friends: Babies don't need nipples to breastfeed. How many of us have had a baby latch on to our cheek? How many of us have seen newborns with hickeys on their wrists from sucking in utero. No nipples on cheeks or wrists. Type 1 and Type 2 inverted nipples will come out when baby is latched on. Type 1 will stay out; Type 2 will hide as soon as baby lets go. Baby needs to be in arms, uninterrupted , as much as possible, for unlimited breastfeeding before mom's breasts start filling. I've never seen a Type 3. warmly, -- Nikki Lee RN, BSN, Mother of 2, MS, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI, ANLC, CKC craniosacral therapy practitioner www.breastfeedingalwaysbest.com *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html To reach list owners: [log in to unmask] Mail all list management commands to: [log in to unmask] COMMANDS: 1.
